Personal narratives were right at the very heart of this exhibition about people seeking sanctuary. Why have people been forced to leave their homeland and what is it like to claim asylum here? This exhibition gave people the chance to listen to the voices of those who have come to Wales and hear stories of how people have started new lives.
This was a multilingual exhibition including English, Welsh, Arabic, and more. Translations and transcriptions were provided.
This free exhibition was created at refugee and asylum-seeker drop-in centre Oasis Cardiff in collaboration with community volunteers. Refugee Wales is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is a partnership project of National Museum Wales.
