The Forget-me-not Chorus

#MySongMyStory Exhibition and Concert Series

Penarth Pavilion 8th-17th June 2018

What is your favourite song and why?

The Forget-me-not Chorus is a truly inspirational charity that uses the power of song to bring joy to people with dementia and their families.

Each week, choirs in Cardiff North, South & Vale and Newport as well as 2 Cardiff care homes, meet to sing, rehearse and have fun. Now this ground breaking charity, as part of the Arts Council of Wales “Get Creative” initiative, is holding a moving and life affirming exhibition of their work at Penarth pavilion.

Working with writer, Patrick Jones, over 120 choristers have explored their special song and the story behind it. With powerful images accompanying emotive poetry, this exhibition celebrates the unique ability of song to enhance and enrich all our lives.

Launching on June 8th and running until June 17th, the exhibition will feature a series of free lunch time and early evening concerts given by professional musicians including members of Welsh National Opera Orchestra and Chorus as well as students from the RWCMD.
